- Subject: Droplet to Change File Extensions .c to .cp
-
- Well, I lost the original thread for this, so I had to make a new one.
-
- Jessie Holle asked if there were some way to change file extensions
- en masse. Here is an AppleScript droplet that does this. Of course,
- this only works if your Mac can run AppleScript and you have to go
- out and get _The Tao of AppleScript_ by Derrick Schneider from
- Hayden Books. The disk that comes with this book already has the
- AppleScript system extension, so you don't have to buy it separately
- from Apple.
-
- After converting this script to text, I truncated all the lines to
- less than 80 characters per line. You'll have to detruncate them
- to get the script to compile. I put an extra carriage return
- after each truncated line to make them easier to find.
-
- I made this script by modifying one I posted last week to change the
- Creator of a TEXT file to MPS . AppleScript is pretty cool, but I
- foresee a future filled with lists of required applications and applets,
- and System Extension folders brimming over with Scripting Additions.
